Meet the Principal
Hello Bobcats! Welcome to our Blue Hills Elementary School community!
I have been part of the Blue Hills Family since the Fall of 2020 and have been a School Administrator within CUSD since the Fall of 2016. Each day I am impressed with the quality and expertise of the teachers here at Blue Hills, their commitment to instructional best practices, innovative teaching strategies and their passion for elementary education. My favorite part about Blue Hills is its strong foundation of creating a collaborative community among teachers, students, parents, school support staff and leaders at the District level. Blue Hills Elementary is best-known for being CUSD’s premier STEAM infused school with additional emphasis being placed on student innovation, literacy, and social-emotional well-being. The most important part of my job is ensuring that all Blue Hills students are learning and receiving a challenging, engaging, and personalized education in a safe, inclusive school environment. Our learner-focused classrooms at Blue Hills provide opportunities for student innovation, voice, choice, self-assessment, problem-solving and critical thinking. I'm always available to talk more with students and families about questions regarding student life here at Blue Hills.
Education, service and life-long learning are deeply engrained in me as a school leader and are central parts of my value system. I bring with me experience in STEAM infused instruction, language learning, meeting the needs of both growing-learners and high-achieving students, as well as students with learning differences. I value providing students with ongoing social-emotional education, have a passion for strong school leadership and push my staff to adopt the very best practices in current curriculum and instruction. I also have a special place in my heart for quality Arts and Music education in schools, as I studied Art History and Art Studio before pursuing my Teaching Credential and Administrative Masters Degree.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my daughter, family and friends! As a family, we enjoy being outdoors, visiting parks, spending the day at the beach and enjoying a delicious bite to eat together. On campus, you can find me out on the playground, or in the Front Office, but most enjoyably spending time learning with students and teachers in our Blue Hills classrooms! I look forward to seeing you all on our beautiful campus soon!
Go Bobcats!
Warmest Regards,
